So it's June 26th and it's National Armed Forces Day. This year it is being held in Cardiff and although i wasn't able to attend i did see something pretty cool from my bedroom window.
As i have an obsession with all things WW2, this was something i was really looking forward to seeing, A lancaster Bomber and a Spitfire, flying over cardiff. But they didn't come over my house, but five minutes previous i saw the coolest and quite freaky sight. At least 6 helicopters flew over my house in a sort of V formation, i definately recognised 2 or 3 of the choppers, the first was an Apache and i swear at least 2 of them were Huey's. There was also a large one that i think was a Black Hawk. When i say freaky i mean in a sort of RED DAWN kind of way, plus it didn't help that at the time i was watching HBO's The Pacific. But hey it was still pretty damn cool.
